Tips for culture adjustment

• American students care more about privacy than Chinese students, so do not touch others’ posseions without permission.
• American students like to use perfumes. If you are sensitive to smell, be aware of this.
• Americans use washers and dryers. Do not hang your clothes up under the sun to dry.
• Please speak English. Some Americans will think that you are not friendlyif you keep speaking Chinese.

• Most Americans will say hello to everyone, including strangers, so feel free to say hello to them.
