Spring : When you first come to America, it is the spring semester here. Spring semester begins around Jan. 25th, , several days after you arrive here. Everyone will have 6 or more courses in the spring semester. You will feel a little bit busy in the first semester, but this is just the start. The good news is that you will have a spring break in March, which lasts 9 or 10 days. Spring semester will end around  May. 11st and then you will have a one-week break.

Summer: Before the summer semester, you have to move to a new dormitory with air conditioner. This process, however, is difficult. There are two separate semesters in summer. The summer semester will start around May 17th and finish around August 18th. Between these two summer semesters, there is a vacation of about one-week .  .

In summer 1, you will have two or three  courses as MACC students and one course as MBA student. In summer 2, if you are a MACC student, you have another two courses and one more course for MBA students. For those who want to apply for MBA, you need to take the GMAT test before the end of June and send it to school with your application. For those who apply to MACC, you may take the GMAT test, but your application will due October. For those who want to apply for MBA or MACC, I suggest that you’d better take the GMAT test during summer semesters, because there is more free time for you in summer to prepare for the GMAT test. You need to send your GMAT score with your application to school in the fall.. After you finish the summer semester on August 18, you will have a 3-week holiday. This is one of the two longest holidays. You can either go back Shanghai or go travelling. I advise you not to stay on campus because you have to move to another new dormitory, but there is no air conditioner.

Fall: Sept. 7th - Dec. 21st is the fall semester. Everyone will take 5 to 6 courses in this semester. You will be used to the Academic life here. So you will not feel as busy as in spring semester. During this semester, there is a 5-day holiday for Thanksgiving from Nov. 24th to Nov. 28th. In the fall semester, as  I have said, if you want to apply for a Master of accountancy, you have to send your application to school. Additionally, for all of you, you need to start to prepare your resume for the internship later in the fall.

Winter: You will have an overall one-month holiday in winter, but during the winter holiday, there is one more course for Sanda Students.
